Her father was Aaron Hills, mother Asenith Smith of Glastonbury, Ct.. Asenath/Asenah Smith was the daughter of Amos Smith and Mahitibel . According to Glastonbury Church Records Asenath Smith was baptized Jan. 12, 1772 at Glastonbury, Ct. She married Aaron Hills November 21, 1790.
Noteworthy are the Smiths of Glastonbury-abolitionists and advocates of early education.

Asennah/Asenith Hills Waldron was the child of Aaron Hills who was born June 11, 1769 in East Hartford, Ct. These Hills traced their line back to William Hills of Hartford, CT. who came over on the ship Lyon in 1632 as a servant to clergyman, Rev. Eliot. The wife of Aaron was Assenah Smith.- married November 1790 (Connecticut Church Records) Asenith died January 5th, 1900 and is buried Union Cemetery at North Creek, New York.
